Water bills in the Corpus Christi area are set to increase by at least 25%

Corpus Christi tells residents they can expect to see their water bills increase by at least 25%, or approximately $9 per month, to fund the City’s planned Inner Harbor desalination plant.

Council Member Carolyn Vaughn expressed skepticism that residents’ increase in water bills would be contained to $9. “Do the math. They’re going to go up every year,” said Vaughn.
